Acupuncture is not right for every patient. If your examination shows you do not need it, Dr. Legg says so on day one and it is not added to your care. If chiropractic is not the right fit at all, he tells you that too and points you toward who can help.
A few things we do not do. We do not sell packages up front. We do not quote a price after the treatment has already happened, because the acupuncture price is in writing before the first needle is placed. We do not hand you off to a technician or whoever is on shift. You see Dr. Legg at every visit, and he places every needle.
Does Medicare cover acupuncture from a chiropractor?
No. Legg Chiropractic and Acupuncture accepts Medicare and most major insurance plans for chiropractic care, and it is better that you hear the rest before you book. Medicare covers medically necessary chiropractic spinal adjustments only. Acupuncture and dry needling performed by a chiropractor are not covered by Medicare and are billed as self pay. Decompression and X-rays ordered by a chiropractor are not covered by Medicare either. Most commercial plans treat chiropractic acupuncture the same way.
