The two causes we treat together
Nearly every condition on this page comes from two directions at once: a joint that has stopped moving the way it should, and the muscle around it guarding, inflaming, and pulling it back out of place. The adjustment frees the joint and takes pressure off the nerve. Acupuncture and dry needling release the guarding muscle and calm the pain response. Doing only one is why a lot of treatment stalls, and it is why we do both in the same visit.
Can a chiropractor do acupuncture?
Yes. Dr. Legg is Certified in Acupuncture by the Arizona Board of Chiropractic Examiners and combines chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture, and dry needling in a single visit with the same doctor every time. You do not need a diagnosis to book. Most patients come in knowing where it hurts, not why. The first visit is the examination, digital X-rays if they are clinically necessary, and a straight answer about what is actually going on. If you already have imaging, Dr. Legg can go over it with you through MRI review. If chiropractic is not the right fit for your case, he tells you on day one and points you to who can help.

What does the first visit include?
New self pay patients start with the $49 first visit: the examination, X-rays if they are needed, the first adjustment, and the first acupuncture and dry needling treatment. The $49 first visit does not apply to Medicare, auto accident or personal injury cases, or workers' compensation.
Do you take insurance and Medicare?
Yes. We accept most major insurance plans and Medicare. Medicare covers medically necessary chiropractic spinal adjustments only. Medicare does not cover acupuncture or dry needling by a chiropractor, and it does not cover decompression or X-rays ordered by a chiropractor either; those are billed as self pay.
