ELECTRICAL STIMULATION

Electrical stimulation is a versatile therapeutic treatment used to enhance muscle recovery, manage pain, and restore physical function. There are various forms of electrical stimulation designed to address different health concerns. Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) focuses on pain relief by blocking pain signals from reaching the brain and stimulating the production of endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers. In contrast, Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) is often used to prevent muscle atrophy, increase blood circulation, and strengthen muscles that have been weakened due to injury or inactivity.
