Chiropractor and Acupuncture in Buckeye, AZ

Buckeye is one of the fastest growing cities in the country, and growth means long commutes, new homes to finish and weekends on the trails. Dr. Derek M. Legg, D.C., M.P.H. treats Buckeye patients with chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture, and dry needling in one focused visit, finding the cause instead of chasing the symptom. The office is on West Bell Road in Surprise, northeast of Buckeye, and walk ins are welcome Monday through Thursday. New self pay patients start with the $49 first visit.

Chiropractic for commuters, builders and weekend hikers

We treat back pain, neck pain, headaches, and sciatica, whether it came from a long drive, a garage full of moving boxes, or a day on the trails at Skyline Regional Park. A real examination and digital X-rays when they are clinically necessary pinpoint the cause rather than guessing at it. If you want to know what a film actually shows, the guide to understanding your X-rays walks through it in plain words.

Why does a long drive into the Valley wear on the back?

Buckeye covers a huge area, and many residents spend real time in the car every day. Sitting holds the hips flexed and the low back rounded, and the neck carries the head forward for mile after mile. The stiffness, morning tightness and pain down the leg that follow are what bring many Buckeye patients in. We measure it at your visit rather than assume it, and posture correction and corrective exercise are often part of the treatment plan so the change holds between visits.

Acupuncture and dry needling in one visit

Acupuncture and dry needling release tight, overworked muscles and calm joint pain, and they are often used alongside the adjustment in the same visit so you make fewer trips. Dr. Legg is Certified in Acupuncture and performs both himself. Nothing is handed off between providers, and you see the same doctor at every visit.

Care for growing families

From Verrado and Festival Ranch to Sundance, Westpark and Tartesso, Buckeye households come through the same door at every age. We see kids, athletes, expecting mothers, and adults, and the examination is adjusted to the person in front of us. Long standing problems are covered on the chronic conditions page, and if you already have an MRI from another office, Dr. Legg can go through it with you through MRI review.

Auto accident care

Hurt in a crash in or around Buckeye? Whiplash and back injuries can take days to show up. We evaluate, treat, and document auto accident injuries from day one and work with your attorney when there is one. Auto and personal injury cases are billed under their own coverage.

What does the $49 first visit include?

For new self pay patients, $49 covers the consultation, the examination, digital X-rays if they are clinically necessary, your first adjustment, and your first acupuncture and dry needling treatment. You leave with care already started, not just discussed. More detail on the day itself is on the first visit page. The $49 offer does not apply to Medicare, auto or personal injury, or workers compensation.

Does Medicare cover chiropractic for Buckeye patients?

Yes, for the adjustment. We accept Medicare and most major insurance plans. Medicare covers the medically necessary chiropractic spinal adjustment only. Acupuncture and dry needling performed by a chiropractor are not covered by Medicare and are self pay. Decompression and X-rays ordered by a chiropractor are not covered by Medicare either. We explain what is covered and quote anything that is not before treatment begins, so nothing on your bill is a surprise. Individual results vary.

Do you offer acupuncture for Buckeye, AZ patients?

Yes. Dr. Derek M. Legg, D.C., M.P.H. provides acupuncture and dry needling alongside chiropractic adjustments at Legg Chiropractic and Acupuncture, and often combines them in the same visit for patients from Buckeye and across the West Valley. The visit happens at the Surprise office on West Bell Road.

Do I need a referral to be seen?

No. Arizona allows you to see a chiropractor directly, and no referral is needed to begin chiropractic care. Walk ins are welcome Monday through Thursday, and existing patients can schedule online any time.
